Training and Orientation: Safety First
Before taking a boat out, each member who is listed as a driver is required to take a two to three hour orientation with our staff. We will show you how to correctly operate the boats and, equally important, how to read and navigate Lake Minnetonka buoy system. We will gladly provide additional training if you desire. Our goal is to make sure that you are completely comfortable with the boats and we will provide whatever assistance is necessary.
In addition, each member is given an informative boat club member handbook, that details everything from “how to book a reservation” to instructions on anchoring and docking, maps of Lake Minnetonka and a Minnesota Boating Safety booklet.

What Our Members Are Saying
“We had a perfect day on the water – the boat was sparkling clean, outfitted with all possible amenities, easy to navigate, entirely comfortable for lazing in the sun. Tom gave us great suggestions on where to go based on our interests and the prevailing light winds. It was a very fun day playing in the water and just enjoying the beautiful lake. Thanks Bay to Bay!”
